Hello everyone.. From Julie
Sorry it has been such a while since my last update.....things have been very hectic around here. We are very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!! These past several days we have had Arlene and Lorin, Pat and Grant, Darin, and my good friend Michelle, up here helping with cooking, cleaning, and taking care of my two girls. Matt is also here with two of his kids Hunter and Britney, and his girlfriend Hollie . Brit drove straight through from Wyoming by herself to be with her Grammy. We had sad news from both her Doctor and Hospice over the weekend saying we were down to the final hours/days. Those of you who know my Mom know she has the spirit of a warrior! She is still very lucid at times communicating with us and making us laugh.......other times she is completely unresponsive. I love watching her strength and spirit.....she is still trying to eat and drink water!! We continue to pray for a miracle but I fear we are enjoying our last precious moments with my Mom. I can not tell you how grateful I am for all your cards and prayers. We read her the cards every day.......Thank-You :) I am also very blessed to have made such wonderful friends up here in Lake Wildwood. They have been there for me and my parents providing meals and childcare since the diagnosis on January 28th. I can't believe today is our " three month anniversary". How fast this disease strips you of everything you were. Obviously though, it cannot take your spirit!!I will update you again when I can.-Julie

  2. Marlene , I want you to know how much we all love you. This kind of thing is hard to understand. I think the hardest part is that all of us left behind will miss you so much . I know how Im going to cope with this, there is only one way and thats knowing that you get to go home and be with your LORD and be free of all the pain and suffering you are going through. I have lots of great memories of you that i will hold on to until we all meet you together in heaven. We love you guys and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Greg and Laurie

  3. From Doug, Jennifer Clayton and Maverick,
Marline it was great to see you and Vern. I look back on my childhood past and think of you as our/my second mom, you always took great care of us, keeping us in line. So many memories of the Beach House and the Delta, Twin Lakes Church, Lake Shasta too! You have obviously raised a great family and garnered many friends along the way, which is evident by the last few months of events. Looking forward to seeing you one day soon, our thoughts and prayers go out to you and uncle Vern, Julie and Matt and all your wonderful grand kids!
With all our love, Doug, Jennifer, Clayton and Maverick

  4. Hi Heaths -
Chris and the boys in Livermore here. Dad has been keeping me updated but I wanted to express my sadness in hearing this news. In reading these blogs it shows what a true testament of the wife, mother, grandmother, friend and mentor Marline is. What pride she has in seeing you all rally around her with the love and compassion she has given to us being given back to her. If there is anything at all I can do please let me know - nelson94550@yahoo.com or (925)223-7227.
    Love always,
    Chris, Austin and Mikey

  5. I was just a teenager when Vern and Marline entrusted me with the care of their precious children. I used to watch them when the family lived on 26th Ave, right near the beach. I've never met a more loving family. I know Marline is at home with her Heavenly Father, and at peace. Love always, Ron
